Paradise... I mean, Palawan!

I often complain that I was born to late, that I wish I could have seen the world in a more pristine way, you know ? When tourism wasn't everywhere, when forests and beaches were still untouched -or at least less destroyed than now!-. Well, I found my paradise. One place that is not -yet- destroyed by big industries. PALAWAN! So far, it is the exact way I've always imagined it. Pure, free, magical and quiet. The sad thing... It's probably the first and last time I will see it like that. The tourism industry is just about to grow bigger and bigger.
I found my paradise on earth. Where ? Poblacion, San Vicente, Palawan. Some people say the paradise is Port Barton, I believe them... it's right across the bay from me. I decided to come to San Vicente instead only for 'resort reason'. I found a small resort online that totally charmed me and as it was my boyfriend's birthday, I thought I could offer him comfort and paradise all at once. So I booked a Deluxe Sunset Room at Peace & Love Resort for a few nights.

I will also post my review on TripAdvisor HERE... soon :)
It's a magical place. The resort is beautiful, the staff is happy, lively and helpful and the owner, Steve, is so friendly, it's a pleasure to talk with him all night long! The room is beautifully decorated, it's modern and charming at once. They have an infinity pool overlooking the bay, and the sunset, and a restaurant where kings would eat, but with backpacker prices -or so!-.
As for Poblacion, it's a small village on the border of a big bay. For now, it's only locals around here. They live on little farms for most of them and they grow their own vegetables and fruits. Chickens, dogs and other animals run freely everywhere. On the LONG BEACH, there's barely anyone, maybe 2-3 locals that go fishing at some point during the day... on a 40 km sand beach...!!! You wanna know the truth ? I was singing aloud, even dancing when I was thinking of old S Club 7 choreographies. I was sunbathing half naked and doing stupid things on the beach like somersaults or cartwheels!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! No one to judge you or laugh at you. Priceless. And, we rented a motorcycle to go on the beach... where we are allowed to ride it!!! So I droveeee!!! I did it! OKAY... I almost went in the water the first day! I lost control and I had the wrong reflex... putting gas when I shouldn't have ... Anyways, we ended up okay, just in time. I was panicked but Francis yelled at me and got me back on track!!! The next day I did the whole beach with no problem :) Now I laugh at it all!!!

The owner of the resort we were staying at told us that within 2 years from now the roads and the airport would be fully finished and that the entire beach land lots are SOLD OUT already... You can guess what comes next. So, Thank God I could see that magnificently magical place in time!
You probably want to know if there's anything bad to say about this part of my trip ? Well... electricity is not constant in those small villages. Which means you might not be eating exactly when you want to or you might not talk to your loved ones when you want to ... but that's it. And... Hot water... just forget about it. I don't even mind... that's probably why I forgot to mention it so far!
Enjoy :)
